- Calculated cost estimates and schedule analysis generated from your production data
- Timestamps of all interactions
03
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect solely to deliver the Plotline service to you. Specifically:
- To generate daily production briefs and send them to you via SMS or Slack
- To analyze disruption scenarios and provide cost-weighted recovery options
- To calculate overtime, meal penalty, and union compliance exposure based on your crew and schedule
- To extract and analyze data from call sheets and script revisions you share
- To maintain a decision log that builds institutional memory for your production
- To improve the quality and accuracy of the service over time
We do not use your production data to train AI models. We do not use your information for marketing purposes. We do not analyze your data for any purpose other than delivering the service described above.
04
How We Store and Protect Your Information
Your data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in the United States. We use the following security measures:
- All data is encrypted at rest using AWS KMS customer-managed encryption keys
- All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.3
- Production data is isolated per production — your data is never commingled with another production's data
- Document storage (call sheets, scripts) uses private AWS S3 buckets with no public access
- Access to production data is logged via AWS CloudTrail
- Database access requires IAM authentication — no passwords are transmitted
We retain your data for the duration of your active production plus 12 months, after which it is deleted or archived at your instruction.
05
Third-Party Services
Plotline uses the following third-party services to deliver the product. Each processes limited data as described:
- Anthropic Claude API — processes messages and production context to generate intelligent responses. Anthropic's data processing agreement applies. Data is not used for model training under our API agreement.
- Twilio — delivers and receives SMS messages. Twilio processes your phone number and message content to route communications. Twilio's privacy policy applies to this processing.
- Tomorrow.io — provides weather forecast data based on GPS coordinates of your shoot locations. Location coordinates are transmitted to Tomorrow.io but no personal data is shared.
- Amazon Web Services — provides cloud infrastructure including database, storage, and compute. AWS processes data on our behalf under AWS's data processing agreement.
We do not share your data with any other third parties. We do not sell your data to any party under any circumstances.
06
